The victim had got into the “Ex-Fornace”, an abandoned brick factory, together with two other compatriots, Madiheri Drame, 30, and Madoufoune Fofana, 27. Soumayla was transferred to the neurosurgery department of Reggio Calabria hospital, but despite the immediate surgery he couldn’t make it. Two days after the assassination, a 43-year-old farmer was arrested on charges of voluntary homicide. While searching in his house, the investigators found the same clothes described by the compatriots of Soumayla, still blood stained, in his washing machine.
