Two young Bengalis were attacked and beaten in the city centrearound 3 am. According to a first reconstruction of the facts, a car was located just behind them as they were returning home and started to honk the horn. The car driver got out of the vehicle and took one of the two Bengalis by his throath. The other intervened to defend his friend but was hit by two violent punches in the face, which caused him to break his jaw and some teeth. Some people called the 118 who transported the man to the hospital where he underwent surgery, with a prognosis of 30 days. As soon as the employer of the two young people got to know about the incident, he said: “As a company, I intend to bring legal action as a civil party. He will not be able to work for a month and it is difficult to find good technicians like him: what happened was such a shame!”. The offender is supposed to be a rugby player from the area. The fact was reported to the Carabinieri.

At 21.45, two men on a scooter stopped in front of the windows of «Pakistani Asia Super Store», a grocery store and mobile phone accessories in via Vittorio Veneto. One of them two fired five revolver shots at eye level. Four projectiles reached the window and one sticks into the doorframe jamb. Inside the shop there was the meat worker, who managed to take refuge behind the counter. The criminals, who were wearing a helmet, jeans and dark jackets, made a U turn to head towards the city centre, but then change their mind and flee to Via Milano, passing in front of the store. Meanwhile, the manager of the club, Umair R., 22 years old, managed to write down some numbers of the scooter plate so to report them to the Carabinieri of Sedriano, who are now conducting investigations.

A 17-year-old student of Filipino origin was beaten, kicked and punchedin the Olympic Village, a district in North side of Rome. She was attacked by at least six boys and girls while heading home from school. The facts date back to the 8 March but they were not announced but a month after. The young woman explained that she does not know her attackers, and not even the reason for such brutal violence, a violence combined with racist insults, such as “You b***h n***a” and threats “we’ll break her legs so she won’t stand up again”. The agents of the Mobile Squad and the Villa Glori police station investigate the issue.

A 18-year-old Somali citizen, hosted by a reception centre, was injured in a hit and run while heading home. The migrant was transported to the hospital and later he told to the Carabinieri that the car was wandering with the lights off and according to the victim, it was a racist trap. Luckly, the young man reported only some bruises. The carabinieri of the provincial command started the investigations to trace back the people who were on board the vehicle. In the previous months, two other migrants had been victims of a similar facts in the same area.

A young Bengali guest of the Rainbow 3P community left home and approached the entrance of a football pitch so to chase away a group of people who had climbed over the fence late at night and were disturbing the neighborhood. The young man was thenattacked with brutal violence and racist insults, reporting a lesion to the retina and fractured cheekbone, he is likely to lose his eye. The offenders, who were probably all minors, remain unknown.

Paolo Diop, national immigration manager of the National Movement for Sovereignty, was attacked while walking with his girlfriend on the seafront. Diop defined the episode “an ambuscade” against him. According to the Picchio News reports, the couple left their room and while walking on the seafront came across a group of drunk people who shouted dirty comments, jokes and insults. In particular, a boy f insulted Diop and his girlfriend with racist epithets and then run immediately to the streets to attack them. The girl reported a fracture on one foot.

A group of four boys attacked a foreign man on the street in the afternoon. Some witnesses reported it on the city’s Facebook pages. The young man of African descent was riding his bicycle when he was approached by four boys who began to insult him with racist epithets, without any apparent reason. Later, they physically assaulted him with unprecedented violence. The young man remained on the ground and some people helped him while the attackers fled. Someone warned the Carabinieri and called the emergency number, so the victim was transported to the hospital. He reported the fracture of his nasal septum.

An Italian citizen of 43-year-old Moroccan origin was attacked by a group of Treviso Football supporters. He declared: “I was going to the supermarket with my 13-year-old daughter, when I was faced with a group of men and women, aged between 30 and 40 years old, who started insulting me and then beat me. I wanted to protect my little girl who was screaming, being terrified, while they kept on battering me “. A Moroccan neighbour witnessed the scene and said: “While I was on the balcony, the group of aggressors told me to go down and a man also called me ‘sh***y n***a”! I’m Venetian, come here and you’ll see’. I went out only because I was afraid that they would hurt my friend, but I did not even have time to get off the stairs that they had already broken into the building. They started beating me too, they threw plant pots at me, I think they broke my nose as well”. The victims reported a complaint to the Carabinieri and the Police, who arrived on the spot to stop the aggression and further identify the attackers. They were four ultras supporters of Treviso Calcio, three men and a woman were reported for the attack. They will need respond in various ways to injuries aggravated by “racial reasons”, threats and damage.
